No Facial Piercings?

Well, not if you happen to be a male.  However, if you're a female you may have facial piercings.  At least, that's the way it seems at the Kroger in Bowling Green, OH.  I work as a cashier and I have my lip pierced, but I have to take it out everytime I go to work.  There are many females at this store with facial piercings that they're allowed to keep in while they work.  Additionally, I am not allowed to work in the customer service office because of my piercing.  Yet, there is a female who works in the office and has her nose pierced, unneccesary amount of ear piercings, and her tongue pierced twice.

The managers at the Kroger in Bowling Green, OH are sexist in the way they enforce their policy about facial piercings.

Heh, I too am a male that works at Kroger with a Lip Piercing. I work in Produce though. I've found, that you are pretty much right, girls I work with, have nose and tongue piercings, and thats just fine and dandy, but noo, my manager finds the lip piercing "distasteful" well **** him. He is the only one that cares, If he's not working, my lip ring is in. The Asst. Manager and Managment Relief never say anything..If he is there, however, he does let me wear a clear retainer, I've never been told to take it out completely. (I would downright refuse too, and tell them that I want everyone else to remove theirs)...BTW, anyone ever get bitched at over have a visable tattoo? I have a razorblade tattooed on my inner forearm and no one has ever said anything. Just curious as to if anyone has been made to cover theirs up?

i've been working a Krogers for about six months now and gauging up while there. The size im at now is a 9/16 and I've had it for about 2 months but just the other week for the first time my manager freaked on me and told me that if I go any higher I'll loose my job. I think its great that no matter how hard I work ( which I will say I do try to work hard while on the clock) I cans till loose my job for my ears. lol

I'm not sure what the policy is on piercings in my store but one of the department heads has visible tattoos on his arms.

Now, at the walmart accross the street, there's an employee who has gauged ears and tattoos all over both his arms. :D I am glad places here don't worry about something like that.

I have a question for all you people with tattoos and piercings.  Why do you want to mutilate yourselves like that?

It's an art form. Something we like to do. Although I would NEVER do lip, piercings, nose piercings or most importantly, a Jacob's Ladder.
