I have 12 years Cash Handling Experince, as well as 3 years cash handling managment experince. I have worked in a Grovery store for 4 years and working in retail for a total of 12 years. How much an hour do you think I can make a hour if I apply.
They give experience pay but I would check with the hiring manager. A girl at our store started as a cashier making $9.00 an hour just for working at walmart for a year.
I started @ 6.30/hr, then went up $.05 (contract raise), then about several weeks before my 6 mo. came up I got $.20, then another $.20 a week later. I've found at times I've been kind of glad I didn't quit in the beginning. We've hired approx 4-5 baggers and we've had about that many do no-shows, and two who've quit via phone call. The conditions aren't that bad, people just make 'em out to be that way. Now don't get me wrong, I've got about a list about a mile long about the things I don't like about Kroger's, but I've met a lot of cool people. Good Benefits--first job I've had with DECENT benefits. Kroger's offers employees discounts on their Sprint/Nextel service, jewelry, books movies and music. Now mind you, you have to wait until you've employed w/ Kroger's for TWO years just to get the insurance, and it's not good on Dr. Visits, it's primarily good if you get into a major accident, or life threatening situation.
