fired for buying marked down item
Permalink

Hi, I was recently suspended for buying an item i marked down on accident because it was dated the 27th and i thought it was dated the 7th. I was told that if i was found guilty of buying the item purposly i would be fired. My problem is, i have done this on purpose before but this time it was an accident. My boss told me the UPC dates could be tracked and i fear i may loose my job. I chose to fight it. Should i just quit?

****, they throw tons down the dumpster and waste lots of money on dead ass workers doing nothing because they've been there 10,20,30 years. If they make a big deal out of then its because they just want to get rid of you or don't like you. YOur just not Kroger enough.

I can actually see both sides. one side  im like you why coudn't they just tell you not to do that again give you a warning or something but on the other side you should of known the difference  and should of never done it. i woudnt quit get the union to be on your side and trust me most likely you won't get fired if you fight for it.
