I hate working at Kroger. I've been in several different retail groceries over the past many years. They do like to make it as miserable a job as possible. They've taken a simple job and made it difficult with this "Key Retailing Crap" and "Understaffing".
But as I was taught, You Don't Have To Like Your Job To get It Done. And I get it done, I may not like it but I don't ask Kroger to give me anything. My skills and experience is my Commodity and I consider it a tit-4-tat deal. I give them 40-50 case an hour and cleanup a blown isle for a days pay.
My store had a key retailing show and tell today and all I heard them talk to the managers and dept. heads about was how much stuff cost, and how to keeps cost down!
I have worked for more better grocery companies that went out of business and was more smoothly run. I cant see how they've made it this long. Probably because they diversified and have convenient stores, jewelry store and gas stations and go under many other names in the food business. They got theyre hands in alot of other things. I believe if they only had the Kroger store name, then they would have folded long ago, many other chains have had much better prices.
