Just wondering if anyone else out there has recently taken a beating on their retirement. These are some highlights of what we got recently

The Level Income Option and the Level Income 50% Husband and Wife Annuity will be eliminated.

The 55/30 Pension will be eliminated. The Plan will reduce the pension by 6% for each year before the participant's 65th birthday

Reduction in Benefit Rate for 2009
For Hours of service earned between May1, 2009 and December 31, 2009 benefit accruals shall be suspended and the benefit rate shall equal $0.

Elimination of Disability Pension
The Disability Pension will be eliminated for Participants who become Disabled on or after January 1, 2010

And Kroger is doing good right now. Selling groceries to seniors for 10% OFF or taxes one day each month and selling tons to EBT or FS customers. Kroger's making money with more people at home these days and eating, kids out of school and eating. THeir cutting hourly budgets in stores and still doing the business. Looks like the suits are wanting to make sure those 6 figure paychecks keep rolling in.

This information came from the UFCW Unions and Food Employers Pension Plan of Central Ohio 4150 E. Main St Columbus Ohio 43213
The Letter is dated April 15, 2009. This is for clerks.This is a Taft Hartley Pension plan and I guess our investments suck. I still want to know if our local was the only one to change the pension benefits recemtly??  Ufcw local 75. We recently merged local 1099 and local 911 to become local 75

I'm also a 30+ year Cincinnati Kroger employee.I would like to thank Lennie & Steve for investing OUR plan in risky Derivitives.Thanks for the LIES the last 30 years.I HATE KROGERS and that "bought and paid" for Union.

i agree the union is ran by krogers and it really sucks . why did they change the age you can retire are there idots out there voteing on this **** .lennie and sguiee need to retire and go live off wefare and see how they like it. i do not know how much krogers paid them to screw us but it had to be alot of money. we really have no union it is a really big joke. who would vote to work till they are 65 years old? they need to check into a retirement home for a brain check in.are they crazy or what you tell me? anyone want to work from 16 till they are 65 at krogers will be dead before then so there will be no retirement pay to give them i am so confussed about all this **** .now if you work for krogers for 30 years you get a big 600.00 a month that might feed your dogs oh i sorry at this rate you can not have any dogs they will strave to death we will be lucky if we can feed yourselfs this company is a ****ing joke.................
