A must read for people who dislike Kroger Co.

Random guy here. So far I have been with Kroger Co for about 6 months. I love it. I work hard, I try and do a good job and I even like customers. The managers really like me also. I am pretty smart around a grocery store because I have done grocery for about 4 years previously. Think this is a fairytale? Well its not. I love Grocery. So to all these people who constantly say, "Kroger sucks" "I hate Kroger" all I can say is your going to get out of it, what you put in it. Plain and simple. To everyone who says those things,,,quit. Why don't you quit? Oh that's right because u are scared to. Saying your scared to isint really an immature way to say it. You wont quit because u get money to pay for things. Well quit Complaining then you jerk offs! But if anyone out there is like me and would go to an extreme just to prove someone wrong even if it is someone who just posted a topic on a messageboard that they dont even know,?, than REALLY quit. Post a topic on how you quit and be honest about it. I still dont think anyone would/will. You jerkoffs quit complaing and suck it up. Be glad you have a job and make money. There is LITERALLY people in other countries who would kill to have a job, LITERALLY!

It does matter...you are part of a business that "feeds the world". Hope your degree get's you to where your going today, because I'm betting it's not. Yes, I have mine and had the opportunity to "jump" many years ago into both public and government work but the thought was "you know what? people always have to eat and I can't be replaced by a machine".Besides, my Managers worked with me rather than against me and gave me the opportunity by scheduling to make my classes. I was going to leave, but a Management Recruiter wanted to talk to me and after a lengthy discussion, yea, Kroger has been pretty good to me-
I'm still here and love every minute of it ! I'll never be rich, I'll never be promoted with the new diversity initiatives, but at least I know I'll have that paycheck by encouraging my Associates and giving great customer care!

This is kinda funny and naive. I can tell you from experience, you get into the grocery business then you'll get stuck in that rut and will have a hard time getting out at this day in time. This is a "nothing personal, but just good business" type of job. It is not the most respectable job to have. Go back to school and get some college. Learn to work with your head and NOT your back. Once these food retailers use you up, they throw you away like a Bic lighter. They have NO respect for you no matter how much you think they like you, you are at the bottom of the food chain, you are the pi$$ ant on the mound. The business will go on without you there tomorrow just as its always done. They have NO obligation to you and WILL blame you when their bright ideas fail. They WILL $crew you in a New York minute if you give them the chance or they see the opportunity.

Just go get some real school learning and get a respectable job.

You sound brainwashed.

You aren't "Feeding the world",you're feeding some podunk town. Big deal. If Kroger's wasn't there, they'd buy their food somewhere else, like Wal-mart.

Hell,Kroger's prices are high. Only thing they have at low prices pretty much is they're brand stuff. THe 10 for $10 is a scam. Look at Chef Boyardee can ravioli and such,10 for $10 and people rake it off the shelf like its a great deal. Its a $1 a can. Go to Walmart, they have it all day for $.088 a can. Buy you store brand stuff there and any sale items then go get the blk staples at Walmart. YOu can make that dollar go further.

well if it's below the toilet line THEN WHY DO YOU WORK THERE.  are you below the toilet line too.  be glad that you even got a job, and so what if it is at kroger, at least they took the time to give you a chance when they hired you.  can't you tell,  I LOVE MY JOB AT KROGER TOO smile

YES KROGER MAY BE A HIGHER PRICE STORE, but look at the gas that you will save by shopping at kroger.  some people are traveling 20 out of there way just to go to walmart, but by the time they pay for their gas getting there and then back home, look how much more walmart costs than kroger costs.  so in the long run, KROGER IS THE CHEAPER WAY TO GO.
