Is your store cutting hours even though sales are up?

My store has excellecnt sales since mid-December with the week of Christmas being a record week yet our store is still cutting hours.  I don't get it.  With sales up I"d think hours for the store would go up.  I blame that ELMS system.  It never let us have enough hours!

from experience they go based on last years sales. So next year there should be alot of hours to staff the store!

They'll definately be squeezing the PT and cutting hours now that Kroger is gonna get sued big time over that Kroger brand dip mix with the salmonella.

disbelief  you are so right!!! Do we work at the same store.  I work in the pharmacy and our script counts went way down with this crappy slow system.  Now our script count is finally grew almost to where it was before they put eprn in.  They will not fix the system and keep on about their tech hours all because some einstein came up with this garbage key retailing and elms.  They really have no knowledge of running a business in my opinion bc all they do is sit behind a desk and think of crap like this to make our jobs harder and theirs easier.  The pharmacies techs and pharmacists are about ready to walk.

furious  from experience??  If they go by last years sales then they shouldn't be cutting our hours and they don't need to base pharmacy on sales from a years ago. No one knows how the health care is going to be from day to day or even minute to minute trust me I know how quick business can turn from not doing a single rx for an hour then all of a sudden it's so busy and there we are short handed.  It's not a good thing for them to be cutting pharmacy hours because that is very dangerous to not have enough help and make a mistake with a drug!!!  they need to think or they should have thought before they cut their own throats
