Anyone experience employees who are friends OUTSIDE of Kroger working together and lying about other employees to try to get them fired? I have and im talking of under 21 yrs of age kroger employees. ONE young employee does not like YOU so THEIR friends dislike you also and LIE about you in the hope of trying to get ( adults ) fired. Why does Kroger tolerate this?
I'm in the same situation.3 stockers(Grocerymanager,Backup grocery manager,and stocker)came from a higher volume store and compared our performance to their own.We are a crew up in our years and resent the constant put downs and backstabbing.I've even stated to the store manager how it was an us against them situation when I came close to getting canned by cussing the grocerymanager on the salesfloor in hearing distance of 4 other employees.They decided to just suspend me for 3 days but things are a lot better now because they know there is friction on the crew and some matters were adressed.If you feel that this is a matter of age disrimination,(Don't let it build up inside you like I did.)and you have a descent relationship with the manager,voice your concerns.Someone from Human Resources at the distict office could get involved or there is the union.If you are not a member,it does'nt matter and they must investigate.
Have not run into that , in the meat departments that I have been in. But, in the area I work in, I and some others have a prejudge towards 18 to 21 year old white boys. They are lazy and come from families with a little money and feel they should be given everything before earning it. 488 in McKinney,Texas. Dallas swkma
