could be anything,  favoritism, worthless employees who get preferencial shifts, lousy manager(s)/department heads not pulling their weight.

posting as anonymous is probably the best bet here.  GO!

1. The fact that my dept. is the only one not offered insurance.
2. The customers (but that's everywhere you work.)

I can't transfer. I work in fuel. Only way to get back into the store is to quit and re-apply.

What pisses me off with my store is the entrance and exit. One door in and it is wide enough to have two casts pass thru. when exiting, they have a place for people to set down and Waite for others to check out and come on out, before you hit the doorway to leave. It creates a large bottle neck where people are trying to get in and out. Customers like to talk and that is where the express lane is with all the cigarettes. One person stopping in the way will shut down customers trying to get in the store or even leaving the store.

@MatthewT,  you mean fuel associates don't get insurance? I'm confused.  That's dumb!  Also, you should just put in a request a transfer to another department.  If it's in writing and they hire a new associate to fill the position, there could ....could...be a grievance

Indeed, it's in our contracts. We're the only dept. not offered insurance through Kroger. We're trying to get it, but it's a load of BS, nonetheless.

sounds like we're all in the same boat.

our store has a rule "limit of 6 carts at a time"  ...we do have some who like to be an hero and push in 20 and of course they get punished for being more productive, go figure, this company is so set on saving time but yet they still punish people for being more productive.  facepalm

The six cart rule is for YOUR protection. You can bring more in if you have someone with you, but I have seen so many close calls with a clerk trying to push in 30 carts, blocking traffic and almost getting hit by a car.

If you get hit by a car while pushing more than six carts, or you hurt your back, you will not be able to complain to management or your union because you were doing something that is a corporate policy.
