Is there any place I can get the book online? I believe I was wrongfully terminated by the HR manager because I was getting close to retirement after 15 years with the company and called and asked about it but the HR manager is refusing to send me a copy.

First thing is , are you covered by a union contract? If you are, then have them investigate and file a grievance for you. I got a copy of the SWKMA policies and procedures manual but it is about 9 years old and only got it thru the union about 5 years ago. If you are looking for a copy of a union contract then call your local union and request one. As to what policy (s) they are using to terminate you , will have to be revealed at some point. Now if the union is involved then they will not send you any information and hold on to it for the grievance process. I have seen several people terminated and then be reinstated after winning a grievance hearing. Here is your choices. If covered by a union contract then let them handle it. If you are in a right to work state, and covered by a contract and not a member, them good luck because the union has the right to handle all union members business first and no-members next. If you are in a non union area then you are screwed unless you got a good attorney.

Are kroger dairy warehouse workers covered by the union? I tried to contact the union and the girl I spoke with didn't seem to know much of anything. I filed a claim with the kroger employee helpline and still have not heard a response. I tried to get a copy of the contract but again, I had to go through the HR manager that fired me and she said there is no contract and is still saying she doesn't have to send anything.

I am lost on this one. I can answer as to if you are in a store or not with some knowledge of a contract ot policies but a non-store area such as a milk plant or other facility? I do not know. Best guess here would be to file for unemployment and see what they say as for excepting or being denied. May seek a labor attorney.  I can not say for the area you are in , but in the north texas area Legal aide has a program once a month where you can go and talk to someone and see if they can help you.

As a previous employee I know that any manufacturing building that is owned and run by Krogers is covered under the union contract but you would have to contact your local  UFCW Union in your city
