my friend was presented with insurance after 18 months. they tell me i will get the same.

pretty sure insurance varies from contract to contract .. get a hold of your union rep

I agree with James. Contract to contract may be different. In our contract, we get Medical after 6 months, and then Dental and Vision after 1 year.
