Unbelievable......Union says charges have been disproven, company keeps changing the original charge....already went to step 4. Union says company is trying to save face. How can they do this to long time employees?

I worked for kroger for  12 years, and got the 'suspension pending"

6 months, of the union stringing me along, with promises, of i would get my job back, no worry, only to have them drop my suit, and say they would not pursue it anymore.

spent over 14 months out of work, no unemployement.

nowdays, with the union in krogers back pocket, suspesion pending is terminated

Sorry to hear that, that doesn't sound encouraging.....it has been very hard on my friend. People say that the Union and Company work together. My friend said at some point, he has been told by the Union that the company will send out a letter to discharge him but the grievance will continue. Did you ever get a letter like that in your case? Appreciate any info that my buddy can expect next, still hopeful that the union will prevail.

ahhhh¿!¡!the union, I see, well theirs the problem, the union is in the way. If I owned Kroger I would put a s on the end of Kroger (name change) and run the -uckers out of MY COMP.

Oh boy!!! Been there and yes I did see a letter while I was in the union office that pretty much says they have terminated you. If you are on stress leave or any other leave they wont have a meeting with you tell you are able to be released back to work. I highly recommend keeping a good work log and writting down your experience of the suspention and hold them to thay Jr meeting with the union. In my case having 20 years in helped as well as showing reasonable doubt and as hr confirmed, the punishment didnt fit the crime. You really cant be too careful today with being on 1st tier especially. There are always plenty of people who would like our jobs that make a lot less even doing the same job. You must always protect yourself and never forget who you must keep your eyes on and not turn your back to.
