Oh Yes! If u can't meet their productivity goals for any reason then u will be subject to write-ups, suspension, and termination. Regardless of all the propaganda ur presented with at hiring- ur just a number to them and they're no exceptions for slow workers. Welcome to the real Kroger world!

Relax. I told a Kroger salaried manager your story, and he said there's no problem. Just do your job and don't land them in court His almost exact words, and he's been a manager for Kroger for almost 25 years.

right... and i've got some ocean front property in Arizona i'll sell ya at a great price. U show me any mgr that runs his store at 95% day in and day out and show u a mgr that will be presented with an involuntary exit strategy. When I was just starting out it was explained real simple- we don't pay u 95% when u run only 95% so u need to perform at 100% or better and u'll get 100% of ur paycheck. Sure they give newbies a while to get it figured out just like they do with any of their new age programs but sooner rather than later u'll hafta make rate on a consistent basis or u'll be on the outside lookin in. The Times they are a changin as the song says....

as long as you're in the union and doing your job then there is nothing they can do in regards to firing you. Sign nothing. Admit to nothing. As long as you're working and trying, reasonably, management can suck it.

not nescasarily true. they can fire you if you are not following best practices during checkout ie. asking for kroger card, waiting for alteas a half full belt of products, prompting payment, engaging and thanking...if you are not doing these in those order...you can be fired.

Not no, but HELL no.

Ring Tender is considered piece rate. You are paid by the hour, not by how many cases you stock or how many customers you check out.

If you are written up, have a shop steward present. If not, ask to end the discussion until one is present and ask to file a grievance.
