Hey all, I wanted to know how to transfer to another local store in my area but a different part of town we are currently in union contract negotiations I just got my evaluation got all three's and a 92 percent ring tender so that's fine. Been working there since late aug of last year having to move due to not having any place to stay and no transportation. I read a few old posts aout tranferring but wanted to know how to do it properly and cross all my t's and dot my i's since it seems this won't be a easy process thanks in advance

get an agreement between the two store managers involved and it is done that day or the following schedule week. That is the easiest way. Stay on the good side of your DM and your MR and it can happen quickly.

Be a trouble maker and it will take an act of god to get it done.

One has to remember this one fact. When wanting to transfer the store you are leaving has the right to hold you until a replacement is hired and trained to do what you do and replace you.

If that happens then place your request in to the stores, HR staff and the union. That way it blocks the other store from hiring and training a person to fill the spot. If they do then the union would get involved and have to push the effort to get it done.

All you basically have to do is talk to your store manager about it. They then have to talk to the store manager of the store you are transferring to, and then you're golden.
