Dating an Employee
Permalink

Myself and another employee want start openly dating. We met at work but, our siblings and cousins are friends and have known ne another for years.

I am a CC and he is a night stocker. We dont work together. I clock on when he clocks off and work in completely different departments. We have been hiding it for a month or so but, i dont want to hide it any more.

Is this ok? Everyone that i have asked said its no problem. Nothing is in the handbook about this. Just wanting a second opinion.

as long as your not working together there should not be any issues. They probably won't let either of you be in a position where your in charge the other. we have a couple in our store who have a child together but they work in different departments and they are not married. They met while working here and started dating and were in the same dept then, soon as they starting openly dating they moved the guy to another dept.

It's been all good ever since. Your store manager will be the one to either be a pain about it or be cool about it, all comes down to that.

Well he is considered as a 4th manager/night stocker but he is soon to become a night stocker/two nights as a helper in recieving. He says hes planing on taking it so there is no chance of us working together. Even tho its a demotion.

Is that a problem?

nahh, as long as he's not a non union manager then I don't see any issues. The only thing is if you start dating and it doesn't work out then its going to be be really tough to work at the same place seeing each other all the time. I wish you the best of luck.

I've been a salaried manager in food service, health care and now retail, and the only time I've seen anything like this become a problem is when a salaried manager is dating an hourly employee. You two should be just fine, especially with your different shifts.

God speed to both of you~

Nothing wrong with it hell my managers are sleeping with half the females in the store and i have 4 famliy members workin same store i work so as long as you dont let it inter fere with you work then no probs

Oh bye the way my store manager has his son and wife working on the same shift he works which is against polocy but who cares

I wish our store policy was like that. We have some hot chicks on front end. Two employees have already been fired for screwin' around outside of work.

Got to know about this forum about dating an employee from my friend. Online dating has become very common. Last month, heard about a Gay Social Network as a friend of mine is quite interested in getting enrolled there.
