kroger email

I have a question for any of the members here who have a kroger email account:

I can access my email through the proper web page, but does anyone know how to set up an email client, such as mozilla thunderbird, to send/recieve emails on my kroger account?

I have tried entering my email address and pw, but thunderbird says it cannot find the correct settings.

I tried doing that when I had a kroger email account. I could never figure it out. The problem is that the Kroger email system is outlook, and the only way for us to access it is by either logging in to the webmail, or using a company computer, loading up the desktop, and opening up full-scale Outlook. I tried setting a "forwarding agent" so that all emails to me@stores.fredmeyer.com would go to my personal email, but it wouldnt work since the forwarding rule wasn't active unless outlook was running and in my account 24/7. I just used the webmail and said eh.

Hmmm they use ESMTP apparently just a little digging turned that up our nit wit joke of an IT department would never withstand a real attack.  I will ask the IT guy at work about the ports, but I think this is the IP you will want to connect to when your requesting your e-mails.

So did you find anything out? I'd love to pull down my work emails to my iPhone, but I've tried the paprika.kroger.com server, but to no avail. Any other ideas?

I can still access outlook through the web page from home, but with the email client setup, apparently it's a permissions issue, not a setup issue. You have to be put in a special group by IT and it involves two-factor tokens and chargeback codes so I gave up.

Thanks. Yeah, I can still check my email through the Microsoft OWA (Outlook Web Access) at home through the VPN, but I'm really more interested in being able to pull my work emails up on my cell phone (I have an iPhone 5 with Verizon). I want to be able to pull my emails through the Apple Mail app, so that my work emails are visible in the same app as my personal emails. I am curious if there is anyway to get this done?

All of this being said, I have figured out how to pull up my email through a VPN app: Junos Pulse (available for both iOS and Android) an app developed by Juniper, the company who provides Kroger's VPN service. I plugged in my EUID, password, and the VPN URL (https://vpn-cdc.kroger.com), enter the Intranet, and it provides me with access to the three options I have when I log onto the VPN from my home (Microsoft OWA, PeopleFinder, and Passport). I guess since all of this is possible it kind of makes me think that somehow I should be able to pull down my work email into my normal email app (Mail). Thoughts of how to go abou

Well like I said, it's not a setup issue, it's a permissions issue. You have to be put in a special group by your ASP. They have to submit a request and give a reason why you need this special access.

They won't allow it, just like you can't get it on your phone either, unless it's a company owned cell phone. If you NEED to have it like that then you have to make a special request with your reasons. Then they will deny it most likely. I'm fine with checking my eleven billion emails at work. I used to have work email sent to my phone and what a headache. I never felt like I was truly away from work.

-no can do

-we wouldn't even if we could; it's not our jobs; call your store if you can't be bothered to go in to check the schedule

-never give out identifying info on here in any form; you broke this rule 3 different ways in 1 post
