Im new to kroger, but have worked hard and impressed quite a few people. I believe I'm being considered to become a checker, but I honestly have no clue who the checkers are in the store or what they do. Can someone tell me what checkers do, and what the pay usually is. I assume it's more than a bagger.
They're the cashiers. They do get paid more. They run the registers, handle money, handle self-checkout if you have it, and deal with customers nonstop.
This is for the original poster. Are really supposed to believe that you don't know who the checkers are. Maybe you don't know their names, but surely you know that they are the people running the registers. Please, if you are male get a vasectomy. If you are female, get your tubes tied. There are enough dumb people in the world.
Cashiering is literally the easiest job in the store. The biggest challenges you'll face are coupons not working or some ghetto people trying to buy junk food with WIC. And since you likely lack any common sense, there is a supervisor you may contact for help. Interested in that position? Sorry, you need at least a double digit IQ for it.
