Why can't the managers just leave the schedule alone?

I wish the managers would just leave the schedule alone and leave it as is. This week and last week, I've had handwritten times written underneath the original time on the schedule. In fact, all of the cashiers have. On the days that I had off, there would be a handwritten time and "OFF" was crossed out. It makes me kinda mad because I had to end up canceling plans for a day that I had off last week because they did that. I was SO mad! The employees make plans based off the schedule. It just irritates me to no other. The scheduler made the schedule the way it is for a reason.

Happens ALL the time at my store. The ONLY way I'll change plans is if something NOT KROGER RELATED happens and said plans get postponed. Then I'll change and come in on my day "off" this almost NEVER happens though. Can understand "needs if the business" at times. But if I've already made my plans then, they have to deal with it. Besides, they only have so long to "fiddle with it" then they cannot mess with it any longer

Gotta fake that scedule rating in e-schedule, and then hand-write the actual shifts to suit the department's needs. This ****ing company. Ugh.

I love to hear that stores are handwriting schedules for employees to look at, specifically to improve their schedule rating. It makes it so obvious what's going on, and looks so tacky. What schedule writers should be doing is writing the schedule they want, printing it, and running the scheduler to make the schedule that makes eschedule happy.

Though, in actuality, schedule writers should actually be editing their schedules to directly improve their rating, but the problem is that most don't know how that rating is figured.

It;s a power trip.

they enjoy holding your future in their hands, controlling what you can and can't do, because you gotta change you planned 6 weeks ahead plans.

well, and they can't leave  ANYTHING alone that works.
