Okay, what are your "Tips & Tricks" for keeping things full, helping customers and getting all your tasks done (breaking down truck, processing certain fruits/vegetables, closing duties, etc.) in a timely matter (No overtime, unless authorized to have it!)? Especially, if you are scheduled to be alone for quite a few hours and the department is short handed.

I will try to post my own "Tips & Tricks" once a week to help others out as well!

1. Leave your cell phone in your car.

2. Avoid gossip.

3. Take breaks when you are told/scheduled to take them.

4. Work your scheduled shift. Coming in an hour early/late CAN dramatically impact the department.

5. Keep a little memobook and pen handy so you know what to bring from the back when replenishing.

Check the schedule to make sure you know when your shift since they been preaching "upi MUST work your shift"!

Take your breaks/lunch depending how long of a shift your working.

A pen can definitely come in handy when you need to write something down or you can store your notes on your phone.

Be careful about too much "small talk" since you can get carried away and eats up time.
