We just got in our Moonlight Madness fliers out/volunteer sheet up. This is my first year, so before I get talked into volunteering for something I'm going to end up dreading (since I usually get asked first on front-end if there's something no one else wants to do).
I'm guessing its the new Kroger equivalent to the Halloween Parties they used to have like a decade ago (though honestly they were so much better back then. or i was just young enough to appreciate the ramshackle "haunted storage area" and turkey bowling), but since its "optional" should I just go ahead and sign up before I'm asked.
Also, anyone else "looking forward to it" or more importantly doing the extra-optional "dressing up"?

When you say volunteer do you mean volunteer to work (pay)? Or volunteer your time (free)?
When I started a new job a manager gave me good advice when asked if I wanted to volunteer to work some overtime? I said no... He said "You might want to volunteer to work because as the 'new guy' you're probably going to be working anyway. The difference is if you volunteer you'll get the courtesy of picking what you'll be doing, if I assign you to work, I'll assign your task and it be what everyone's who volunteers to work has turned down." lol

Not really, I'd be doing it anyway... Just friendly advice on how the game was played... I'd be working anyway so I might as well volunteer bc volunteers get to pick what they'll be doing, or if I didn't volunteer I'd be assigned to work (seniority and I was on the bottom) And would be assigned whatever was leftover that those who already volunteered didn't pick.
