I hate when we run out of carts and I'm the ONLY person out there doing them. That ALWAYS happens to me. Not only is it wrong and unfair, but it's tedious and exhausting. I can only do so much seeing as if I only have two hands and I'm one person. Then, a CSM comes out to tell me that we have no carts. Well, gee, I didn't notice. If they'd send more than one person out there when that happens, we'd get caught up faster. Bringing in carts when there is none isn't a one person job. One person is unable to bring in that many carts at one time. It just can't happen. Telling me that we have no carts won't make me go any faster either. It just irritates me. Like, maybe that's why I'm always so damn tired when I get off work. Being a CC takes its toll on me some days.
I feel your pain. I too get stuck doing carts all by myself when the store is completely out. Normally after about 20 minutes they get the bright idea to send other courtesy clerks to help.
One time we ran super low (we have TONS of them now ) and I was usually the one to get out and fetch them. Which I didn't mind.. UNTIL, we got down to 10-15 max. IF I was lucky, I pushed ONE cart up to the corral. The rest were taken from me BEFORE I even made it HALFWAY to the the store itself. Like vultures, they swooped in. FINALLY, after NUMEROUS customer comaints (and us) they got us more carts. Now were all good. ;)
(For now...)
