so my store is always freezing, so naturally we all wear black plain jackets. But now they're throwing at us that we cannot have hoods. They won't even give us a reason why we can't have them. Anyone know?
at my ATL division store, there's no hoodies in winter. they're saying it looks unprofessional *sideeyes* have they SEEN who/what works in these stores?
They say it's unprofessional at my store too. But honestly? Who even cares? You honestly think a customer is going to notch about if you have a hoody in cold, wet weather? Answer: No. They just want to get their groceries ASAP and go home to their warm houses
Generally, it's considered unprofessional but if it's cold or snowing you better believe that I'm going to be wearing a jacket and if management says anything about it then I will kindly explain that I do not wish to freeze to death and forcing me to remove my jacket, outside, in the cold/snow/rain is something that could be considered a life threatening situation. I would not hesitate to file a grievance on them for trying to put me in that situation.
[EDIT:] If you're inside make sure to wear the hoodie under your uniform and make sure that it's a matching SOLID color that compliments your uniform.
