OK so I'm 18 and my manager just suspended me for not cleaning the bathrooms a certain way and what I mean by that is I did everything but i did not put the tissue on the tissue roller and I did not put the paper towels in the dispenser now I have been written up before because I did not have a good enough excuse to call into work so I just need advice on what I should do i mean im looking at CNA and Pharmacy tech jobs but should I call my union rep because next time I get in trouble I will be fired so can some please give me some advice
Please don't be a pharmacy tech! Walgreens almost killed a family member of mine last week - they gave him the wrong prescription. I can guarantee that tech is loosing his job soon. Be glad your mistake was only toilet paper or paper towels.
You got suspended for a few days over toilet paper? Yes, I have used the Kroger toilet only to find no tp! :( Luckily, there was some in another stall.
Someone in management doesn't like you or the manager is cruel and unusual.
The only good the union will do you is to tell you what you have to do and not do to keep your job until this write-up drops off and doesn't count against you. Figure out how to stay under the radar. Keep mouth shut and do your job. Don't create any drama in the store.
If given a write-up, you should ask for a union rep. Never sign a write-up. If you sign it, the union can't easily fight it for you.
You did something wrong and got wrote up for it. There is nothing to fight especially if you already signed it.
PS. Take your name out of your profile. Maybe create a different user name so you are not using your kroger ID here.
Good luck.

the only time i've seen someone get a write up for being lazy is when they are constantly being lazy and the supervisor got fed up (also because the store manager asked for him)
You should always call the union on any and all matters pertaining management and document as much as you can through paperwork, video, audio, as well as a reliable coworker. It also could be grounds for harassment. Good luck!
I would also check with the union about these two separate issues and bring paperwork if possible from the first write-up and the suspension. It could be related to job performance, but it might not. I would get a clarification if possible on the two incidents and see if there is a link between the two. If there isn't, then it is better for you. If not, just be careful around this manager. There is also the human resources department through the store you are with as a last resort. Good luck!
