Scheduled Shift.

I work 2:30-11 tomorrow. I thought nothing of it until I suddenly realized that it was an 8.5 hour shift. I know that they're not allowed to schedule you more than 8 hours a day. So, when they do something like this, do they (the scheduler) even realize that they did it?

its not technically 8.5 hours. its 8 hrs. you dont get paid for a lunch.

at least now you get 2 breaks and a lunch (at least at my store)

Yeah, same here. Sounds like a perfectly normal shift.

That's how scheduling works at my store too. you either get a 8.5 or a 5 hour shift.
