If business is slow, they usually lay off the people with the least seniority first. If it's probationary period, they can lay you off if they don't like the way you sneezed or blink your eyes or for any reason. It's unfair yes. Have you tried asking them as to why you're being laid off? Be prepared for a false reason. Or they may tell the truth. I'd find out ASAP
during probation up to and including the last day they can drop you for any reason or no reason at all, that's why it's probation. in ATL division it's 45 days which, in my option, isn't long enough because of the training center lag before getting people in stores. we don't know what we're dealing with until they're almost out of probation.
