Just thought I'd share a funny story from last week. Woman comes up to me with her receipt (older lady). She goes "Well can you tell me what this is?" It's some brand of chicken and beef broth. I go "Oh, well I'm not sure.. It's just something you've purchased." She freaks out on me and tells me she didn't buy any of that. I then go "Did you happen to buy any kind of beef or chicken broth?" She stops.. "I don't know maybe!" Freaking out at this point..
"Well that's what that is.."
She stares at her receipt for a little longer, "Oh well thanks so much you have a great day!"
Got a better one for ya! I work third shift and one night the U-scan attendant was ringing an elderly woman up. She asked him what his wife thought about him working so late, to which he replied that he wasn't married. Without skipping a beat, this little bitty sweet old lady says in the most reassuring way possible "Oh, it's ok if you're gay!" even though you could tell she just had a brief and horrifying mental image of franks and beans all over the place. Still laugh about that to this day!
