I've been a frozen lead for a month and I just received my raise. A whopping 15 cents. Jesus. 50 cents less than what i was told  i was going to make when they were trying to convince me to take it.

Check your contract and see if it's the rate pay.

What are the mechanisms for enforcing the contract?

That actually wasn't the direction I was going, but that works too.

Does it tag you as frozen lead in HRExpress? If not, then you need to get with management and have them push that through to HR and get back-pay for all time missed. That's the only way I can see the pay not being correct. Unless your store volume is less than you thought and it put you in a different pay tier. Even so, it should have at least been .50 an hour more

Sorry you have such a bad contract, I don't think I'd take a lead position for that little incentive.

Wow! What a great local you must have. bleh Call and write (with proof of doing so) your local union and tell it you want to file a grievance. Also, if the provision of the contract are clear, you may be able to go the state authority that enforces wage and hour laws or to the National Labor Relations Board, or both. And if the union fails to provide you with fair representation, you may be able to sue the company.

Yes, it has me classified as Frozen Lead but maybe my sales volume as you suggested isn't high enough yet to warrant more money. We're currently at around 27,000 in sales weekly. We went from sixth to fourth since i've been there but the top store in our district is at around 50,000. You have any tips on how i can drastically improve my sales besides keeping my shelves full, ad filled, and excess inventory being regularly swimmed out? How much does your dept do weekly?
