My manager said he extended my probation 60 more days like WTF!!! Is this a good thing or a bad thing? A few weeks ago we had REALLY bad ice and snow so I called in. Well apparently the manager never made a note of it and I was considered a no-call no show. I tried my best to prove that I actually called in but did not remember the name of the manager. That was a few weeks ago and he said he usually would let someone go for that. Me and the night crew all got in trouble a few days ago for keeping messy backstock. He made sure to note to me that I was on probation in front of everyone...like they did not know = / Anywaysss....anyone had any experience with this? I'm a grocery (stocker) by the way HELPP
First you need to find out if they are allowed to extend your probation. The only reason they would extend it is so they can find some excuse to fire you.
I've never seen this happen I'd be worried. You could have asked your phone company for the records of your call. They would prob give you the time, date, and convo length without much problem

Who said you were on extended probation? Who complained about the messy backstock? The store manager or the night grocery manager?
If the night grocery manager said so, I suspect he is bluffing. Only a store manager can extend probation. Not a good thing but not a completely bad thing. I would ask your shop steward about it. See if you were supposed to get it in written form for it to be official.
I work night grocery and see several stores struggling to hire and retain night stockers. So, if they let you go, they would be shooting themselves in the foot. Try to show improvement and don't worry about it.
