is Easter considered a holiday where u get time and a half in the area you work? I know it depends on the contract but I was just curious.

West Coast here. Easter was taken away as a holiday 25 years ago. It used to be triple time. Now it is just time and a half because its a Sunday. Newer contract people, those in the past 10 years only get $1 extra an hour.

Or if you work in the Atlanta divison and are a new hire, Sunday pay is the exact same as regular pay!

And Easter isn't a holiday.

In UFCW 75, Easter is not a paid holiday, but Memorial Day is. Makes no sense to me since Easter is a religious holiday but oh well.

Easter isn't a federally recognized holiday, but it is a Christian holiday. I think Chistmas and possibly thanksgiving are the only holidays you can get holiday pay. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. And new hires don't get Sunday pay where I'm at. Is it like that everywhere else? You have to have some tenure to get good benefits with Kroger.

In the Louisville Division they don't pay time and half on Sundays for anyone hired after 9/27.87.

That's one of the reasons I don't work Easter. Won't pay me extra for coming in on that specific day? Sorry, (not!) them you DONT need me that badly
