I went into my local Krogers the other day to buy some chips for a party. They redid the whole store layout and I couldn't find anything! furious

I couldn't find any employees to help me either! So I had to go to the meat department to get help. But the butcher was helping someone with steaks, so I had to WAIT FOR 3 MINUTES! He took me to the chips aisle, but YOU WERE OUT OF MY FAVORITE BRAND!!!!

The butcher said he would check the back for me. It took him another 7 minutes! And he didn't find any! He offered to give me a different kind for half price but I wanted the Dorito Cool Ranch!

This is unacceptable. Kroger you need to fix this.

You need to quit eating Doritos Cool Ranch.  The problem is you.  I'm assuming you have an eating disorder if you have to have a large bag that grocery stores sell.  If not, you would have popped into a convenience store and purchased a single serve size bag.  Get help now, before it's too late.  Good luck!

1) It's Kroger not "Krogers" You spelled it correctly later on in the post. Why the screw up at the start?

2) a party? why wasn't I invited?

3) Look harder. Grocery stores regularly move product around on the shelves to keep you in the store looking for the product you use to know where it was. It's done that way on purpose.

4) You timed it?

5) You stated that you wanted "Dorito Cool Ranch" those are ordered, delivered, and stocked by a Frito-Lay Employee. They are pressured to not leave back stock in the store.

6) You timed him? AGAIN? You could have went to another store in that time.

7) He tried to help you as much as he could, don't be angry at him.

8) If you have a problem with Frito-Lay, who is responsible for that product, you can call their customer support line at:

1 (800) 352-4477

If you complain enough they will probably send you a coupon for free product.

9) This site is not, in any way, associated with the Kroger Company. We can only provide insight on an Employee level. If you'd like to file a complaint please do so at the customer satisfaction survey located at:

https://www.krogerfeedback.com/

or you can call the Kroger Customer Support hotline at:

1 (866) 221-4141

In any case, welcome to our little corner of the internet. You're free to "stay a while and listen".

This is one thing I get tired of explaining.  Certain products like those from Frito-Lay, Coke or Pepsi don't have backstock because they send their own people in to restock us.  Customers just give me an ugly face.  Well you had it yesterday!  I don't know have any information to share.  They assume the service desk knows everything about all product movement as well or that we have magical ways of looking up whether we carry something.

Well then Kroger should order more Frito Lay product for me and the other customers! And I wanted a big bag because it was for a big party.

Yes I timed him. I expect fast and good service, if I am giving YOU my OWN hard earned money. Besides, I have a REAL job. Not a grocery store job run by a bunch of high schoolers and high school dropouts.

We're always told, the customer pays our salary.  Customers seem to forget that we pay their salary too.  It may not be as direct as it is working in retail but every job eventually trickles down to the average consumer and their buying habits.  Every job is tied to the sale of some good or service.

Lulz! Bless your heart sweetie. Actually, I would say that the government pays my salary. The majority of people who shop at Kroger are on welfare. We can argue on and on about it, but if you don't like Kroger, don't come back! Ya hear? I deal with too many fatties everyday. I WILL pray for you and I hope the rest of your day is as pleasant as you are :) And just because you're a "customer" doesn't mean that I'm gonna suck your d or give you a rim job.

This sounds like a joke topic to me, so why are people taking it seriously?

That's funny because in our area its only high income customers and $300 in sales per person not sure what slums you are from but you should maybe go back there for the rest of your life. All Kroger employees have the right to refuse service to customers if they are as harassing and childish as you, just like how you are acting on these forum's. You're just one in millions, friend.

Good satire.  Funny 'cause it's sometimes (most customers aren't this unreasonable) true.

I would have found the last cool ranch dorito bag, then I would go on break and buy it before giving it to you, then I would eat it in front of you. The whole large bag.

That doesn't count because the scenario in the video was staged for some book promotion of sorts.

As far as I'm concerned your attitude isn't welcome in my Kroger. Take your money to Walmart or Whole Foods. Don't care.

We get the same grief from Borden, the Beer guys, Nabisco, and so many others. If they don't bring it, we don't have it. We can gripe and complain to vendors all we want, but if they don't bring enough product, it's just not there. Sorry.

And by the way, these vendors deliver those products to ALL stores, so taking business "elsewhere" might not do much good.

The other day I saw the Pepsi vendor hold the door open for a Coke vendor and say "see you next week man." Who knew such an unlikely friendship could bloom in the barren wasteland of Kroger.
