Produce Management Training.

Has anyone here ever been involved in one of these programs or have any information about them? I am a newly promoted produce backup and I am going to do this training at some point, idk when exactly. I'm hoping to get a head position in my district. I was also wondering if being willing to travel out of town would increase my chances. Or is that too much of a long shot?

never heard of an 8 week course.  we at D5 have 1 year to get certified ,we have to do all our act training modules, then our class room train and get our training manual signed  which are spread our over several months to see yours.Logon to ACT click on class room tab to see your classes and register for them (some may only show up on other pull down menus (IE general education others under Produce ect..)

if still unsure contact your MR.

If it's anything like the grocery manager 8 week program here locally, it's literally nothing but shadowing your current(or chosen) grocery manager for 8 weeks to see how they operate and what you will have to deal with.

In my store you take a CBL on CAO and then shadow your manager for one week. You might even say hi to the people working in natural foods and floral, because in my store at least, the produce manager makes their schedules.
