Anyone have problem with on line orders in their deli/bakery dept? We've got 2 orders placed for 100 pc. chicken at 11:45. One was called in earlier in the week and the other placed on line a couple days later. Yet were expected to have them both done at the same time. Our managers seriously expect us to take all orders all without any extra help!
You mean that you don't have 7 chicken friers? 4REEL?
The stores I've been to had 2. Our fryers only hold 50 pieces at a time, so if theirs is anything like ours, even if they used both fryers, someone would still be waiting. The way we do the phone orders is that if there is an order at one time, it's considered booked and we let the customer know. Usually they're okay with an earlier or later time. It should be like that for online orders. Once someone puts an order in for that time, no one else can order.

The store I work in has four fryers and during and during Derby weekend, they still couldn't keep up with all the orders. I don't know what the problem was. Obviously if you've got several big orders going out at the same time, you can't expect to do them all on the spot at the same time. One or more of them has to be done earlier and kept on a warmer. If the orders are the same, then whoever shows up first gets the chicken that was done first.
