Ok so I got an email that says that I've been hired and to log onto the onboarding portal or something. Should I expect a ojone call from a manager telling me when orientation is?
Well log on first and see what that says. It takes awhile for background check to come through, it usually take around 2 weeks, sometimes longer. If you haven't heard from them by two weeks, call them and ask when orientation is. I'm surprised they didn't give you a date when they hired you. But, every district does things differently. Good luck and welcome to the forum!
I went in for the interview and was hired the next day. I did get hired during a time when they were mass hiring over a year ago. Was my situation different somehow? Curious now.
Yes very different. I got a call for an interview about a week after I applied. during my interview they drug tested me and then said that they would email me if I got the job. I waited another week and a half and i finally got the email, but then I had to wait another week for a time to come in for my orientation.

i have a question, so if you get an email from "onboarding" does that mean you actually ARE getting the job????
that doesn't come close to answering my question, i haven't received any communication about orientation... i received an email from onboarding, as stated previously, does THIS mean i'm hired???
Onboarding . . . refers to the mechanism through which new employees acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to become effective organizational members . . .
For what it's worth, you seem to have successfully herded yourself into the Krogrr pasture along with the rest of the cattle.
Do you have a name and contact info for your local hiring person? IF she returns your calls/emails, she could help you more specifically than can quasi-random internet folk.
What the jargony "onboarding" meant in my experience was a couple months of spam emails. None of the content was ever referenced by anyone in Krogrr management.
Hi I was just hired the same day I had the interview, i had to leave and come back to being a photo ID and an employe finished my paperwork, she told me I had to wait for the drug test results and I'd get an email for orintation Dates. my friend who got the job an hour before got orientation for next Thursday. They told her the second she got hired. So I have no Idea if I'll recieve an email or if I should show up Thursday or Saturday(the orentation days).can anyone help me and tell me if the employe forgot to tell me something.
if this helps: I got hired via job fair, i got bagger and my friend got cashier, the employe just had me sign off on the employe packet and take a drug test, and i am 16.
Yes, you will get a phone call from your manager once the results from your drug screening and background check are in. They will schedule a date for you to come in and complete new hire paperwork and there are several online excersises for you to complete, depending on your new position. Congratulations.
