EthicsPoint: Ever Get Any Tangible Results?

This template text is all I've seen generated in the way of a "response":

Thank you for your report. We will review it to determine if an investigation is necessary. Please follow up on a regular basis, in case we have additional questions as we review this matter.

I had to put my foot down on one co-manager.  She had numerous scantly clad pictures of her and a few of her giving the middle finger which I reported along with a statement saying this does not represent our company well.  After that she toned down her warpath attitude and was moved to another store not soon after which was fine with me and my colleagues at work.

Had one manager term'd because of his highly racist attitude towards non whites. He claimed his "jokes" were not racist. Those whom he told the racist jokes to, if they got offended they " got a better job elsewhere." If you catch my drift. A bunch of folks got together, got ahold of ethicspoint and he went bye bye.

It's very good to hear of some real results.  I keep suggesting EthicsPoint to folks, but seeing only the above text (that could be auto-generated, for all we know) hasn't been inspiring.

Interesting, I've never heard of it at my store, but then that's hardly surprising.

There may be a poster somewhere in your store with the information, and the employee handbook could be another source.

It isn't working properly . . . at least in Southwest, District 12.  Even when named in reports, associate victims of management abuses are not even being contacted by the company.  No contact; no questions; no, "Hey, tell us your side of what happened".  Just a "Case closed".

Seems astoundingly negligent . . . not even pretending to investigate.

Still worth writing the reports, I think; if nothing else, it demonstrates an ongoing pattern of negligence at the district level.  If/when someone is hurt, the reports can be printed out, and the case will be ready-made for a plaintiff's attorney.

Too bad someone will have to be hurt for us to get any kind of justice.
