If you lose your name tag you buy a new one at the service desk.
OK, some stores do charge and I can understand why because it seems the same people lose their name tags on a daily basis. Sadly this trait even runs in families. I don't get it. Why is it so hard to remember?

Well that's not necessarily true. Those nametags with the pins on the back are cheap, they break all the time. I don't know how many of those I went through before I got one of the magnetic ones. Those would fall off too, but not as bad as the ones with the pins. I've had customers hand it to me, a floor supervisor found one in the parking lot, and I found one on the street by my house. They fall off or break.
Actually they can't charge you for the name tags. If it is essential for work they must give it for free. Just like your shirts if its torn. If they do this you should contact your union representative.

You tighten it up. Lose is a verb meaning to misplace. Loose is an adjective meaning not tight or not rigid. If your laces are loose, you might lose your shoes.
At the store I work at, they have back-ups in the office. Just need to ask. If they don't have your name, then they'll give a random name.
One FES has been every name in the Book... long story...
If it's universal, tten there's a sheet somewhere (near the timeclock), just write ur name on there and wait...
If Demons sow up at your door, I'm not responsible.
I saw this one time. this new hire kid had a name tag on that said George. so i thought that was his name. Like a week later when i saw him again and his name was Robert I was like wtf, thought i lost my mind or something.
My store is so cheap that the ones they get with names already printed on them, if someone is hired that has a name that isn't already on a tag, they will make a new label of that persons name and stick over the pre-printed one.

My solution to that is if you can't come to work prepared to work day after day after day after day you need to face progressive discipline. I know I've made hundreds of name tags for the same people. It's ridiculous.

I've seen this many times too with people who lose their name tags. It's so ghetto looking.
Luckily I haven't lost mine yet but there's tape on the back pin, it's a pain to try to pin it on my shirt, but I really don't like my HR person so i'm afraid to even go ask her for a new one.

HUNDREDS? For the same people? OMG what an exaggeration! I'm sure if you made as many name tags as you said you have, they would have caught on by now. I hope you don't work around money. Here's your change ..........
