We had a co that just quit..just up and quit. She was pretty much forced out. This lady knows all the ins and outs of kroger, been with the company for years. She said she was tired of the bullsh@@ and mistreatment and just quit. Shame on you kroger. We got a new co manager a few weeks ago. Since then, we've lost 2 dairy leads and a co. he was a store manager for years and everyone in krogerland around here has heard the horror stories. He will never change and I don't foresee corporate removing him. He tells me wife beating day is every Thursday. I'm beginning to think he means it. He yelled at me once and was all red faced. Really scared me. I try to avoid him at all costs because I'm a widow with 3 kids and I need my job. But really hate what's going on in our store. Our store manager won't stand up to him. corporate transferred one of our cos last week with no intent to replace. for now, we have satan and our store manager.
Those words are enough to get someone fired . . . Where the hell do you work, 1950's?
Well said . . . although at least one district feels a bit like the 1850s with the overseers, floggings (verbal), and coercion/fear as the only motivation.
i agree with you gm wolf, this person need to be replace he is not good for krogers. because all he do is yell and scream at peoples, and treat us like trash, and then want us to give good customer service to all of our customer, if the customer only knew all the hell we face every day, here at this store with this co-manager they would tell him off. we are peoples not animals.i treat my dog better that he treat us, i was told by another worker, from another store that he tore down their store, now he is over their at your store to do the same thing, let's get this bum out of here.

All who hear and see the abuse should document and report. If we don't, we leave the abuser in place . . . to get promoted and make even more people miserable.
Walked out,of my store 2 days ago for the same reasons and didn't have a job lined up. Our managers and DMs act the same way and have been doing many shady thing. I Applied for the Wal-Mart down the street and got a call the very next morning asking what I wanted to do there and expected pay. Said any department is fine and was told my starting pay would be 11.50 becbecaus of past experience. I went into my old kroger the next day told all my coworkers to join me because after two years of being a slave dog for that company I was making 7.80. Will never go back. 4 people walked out the day after I quit including their only dedicated ft utility clerk. Managers treated him like dirt especially when they freak out about a walkthru

if krogers don't change, their stores are going down,when krogers high up come to the store, they treat and talk to us with respect . not like our managers and co-managers.if they treat us right they will see the store osat go up.
