New Hire, haven't even started training yet but have some questions?

So my entire hiring process was really weird. I applied for a position that was actually pretty close to home (well, in my actual city, at least!) but I guess they had a hiring fare or something coming up, so they chose to save time by calling me in for my interview at a completely different location outside of my city. Well, I made it, did the interview and was told at the end that I'd be hired - did the paperwork, the drug test, was asked what day of the week I'd want to come in for training; said I was fine with anything, but "Wednesday is fine, I guess," or something to that effect. The girl mentioned something about 9:30, and I want to think that was the time she gave for me to come in to be trained, but I sort of forgot because I was still finishing up paperwork at the time (after the actual interview, the process got kind of messy). Well, I got the email a day or two later to sign up for Kroger's employee portal, so I assume I'm in and that the background/drug test went through without issue.

The problem I'm having is that I was never given anything exact in terms of when I was supposed to come in or even what store I'm meant to go to. Am I to go to the store I interviewed at, or the one I applied for? Are they supposed to call me or email me to give me specifics, or was I meant to receive all the information I needed during the interview process? Should I just call the store I applied for to ask if I'm scheduled to be there for training, or what? Tomorrow's Wednesday and I don't want to just assume that they're going to contact me and blow off my first day. The email I was given mentioned that I should contact the Hiring Representative for my location, but I can't find anything other than the store's general number. So any insight on what I should do or expect would be helpful.

The store you interview at is the store where you'll be working. I'm assuming that it's the same everywhere, but here there are designated training stores where orientation/training occurs. After your interview you should be scheduled at one of these locations. It may be that the location you interviewed at IS a designated training store in which case you'll be doing it there. Here it's 1 per district. Regardless, you need to call the store you interviewed at and ask for clarification from your hiring manager.

Well, at the interview I was first asked to sign in and designate which store I was interested in. Plus part of the interview process was pointing out on a map which store and which position I was interested in relative to the location I was being interviewed at. It was a pretty strange process, so you can probably understand my confusion.

I'll definitely shoot them a call for clarification, though.

Welp, just called only to be told that today is the hiring manager's day off; on top of that the earliest I was told I could call was 11:30, long after what I suspected to be the time I was intended to have to report in.

I would still come in regardless. Even if it's at the wrong location, it at least shows you tried. They can always reschedule your training.
