Clocking out for breaks
Permalink

so I'm not sure if I have a problem or not. I worked 7.5 hours and I only get a 30 min break (which is normal in my store) but I punched out using the lunch button and I clocked back in using the break button bc I was on autopilot and forgot I had punched out using lunch. So Im not sure if that is going to be a problem, any help on this?

It depends on your stores policies. Generally, at least at our store, so long as you have the requisite number of punches, (4), the office secretary will take care of fixing whatever mess you made. Or, at least, that's how it's been explained to me.

As long as I've clocked back in correctly the clock seems to correct the issue appropriately. If you're really worried about it then leave a note on the corrections log for the secretary to take a look at

Thank you for the quick responses! I will get in contact with the secretary just in case.

I have accidentally mixed up lunch and break buttons on a few occasions. Nothing came of it. You'll be fine.

The timeclock should automatically correct it. I do that sometimes and I'm always told that it'll correct itself.
