When Does It Make Sense?

I don't know how high management is, or where they buy their dank but in what world does it make sense to ignore a leaking freezer because it cost too much to have a facility support member come out. They told me that they would rather payout a slip and fall suit than have someone repair it. So fast foward a week and i got fed up. Decided to take a open up the cover and take a look. I discover that it was clogged, so i took a wetvac and unclogged it. How goddamned hard was that Krogrr?

Good on you, man.

Well, you know it's Kroger. Most people that work there aren't too inclined to show that kind of initiative or ambition. What you did was probably akin to a miracle to them... or some kind of dark magic.

Don't understand why management wouldn't put it on the Hub, though, and have the service guys come out and look at it. That's your particular store mgt team that held that up. Ours woulda been all over that.

About a year ago, the catch for the latch on our deli cooler door was loose, and the door wouldn't close properly. This went on for days, and nobody did anything about it. Finally, I too got fed up and found a screwdriver to tighten it back up. Problem solved.

Kinda got sh#tty about it and said "Was it that f@cking hard to find a screwdriver, y'all?" So I feel your pain here.

You were able to actually find tools? All of ours were stolen or get hogged by the meatshop guys.

You should have "slipped and fell" while fixing it.   I would report that manager if it was me.  Kroger is just plain evil.

It was on the hub for about a week and a half, and no one came to do anything about it. It was so bad that we had to use all our orange socks on this one spill. I mean what's the point of having facilities support if they arent going to do anything.

That's nuts. Our maintenance guys seem to live at our store, and sometimes it still takes them a while to get around to fixing something. The main problem we have is making sure someone actually reports an issue.

I got lucky... Any tools we had are long gong by now.
