Alot of associates at my store have been put on a list to go to cashier training I spoke to my mgr 3 times about why I can't after it was brought up by other mgt then I see my name on the list I can't physicaly due to a medical issue can they still make you go?
They most likely will make accommodations so that you can still go up front. I can't really think of any medical issues that would prohibit you from working up front. My front end had people who couldn't lift much due to various medical issues, so they just made sure a bagger was near them who could lift stuff if needed. If you have something where they can't come up with any accommodations, then I guess they can't call you up. I would talk to management and the CSM about it to see what they can do.
I'd also get a note if you haven't yet. You can't just say you have a disability, you need a doctors note.
