Clicking out stupid question

I'm still in training for courtesy clerk. Do I still clcok out and does it matter when since its not a real shift. For an example I did training from 10am to finish some videos. The manager left early and he said don't stay later than 6:30. Was it OK for me to clock out at 5:10ish. Am I going to get in trouble for leaving early? He said I could finish the rest of the vidoes another day.

No, you shouldn't get in trouble.

Yes, clock in, for breaks, for lunch and out when training.  You are being paid to take the training videos.  Use the time clock like you are working a real shift.  If you ever have questions or doubts, ask the Customer service manager at the Service desk.  They might have let you do actual work until 6:30.

If you didn't clock out, there should be a time clock correction book at the customer service desk.  Write the time that you forgot to clock out.  It is important that you write down that you left at 5:10.  If they pay you until 6:30, that is stealing time and isn't a good start.

The manager said to leave no later than 6:30.  Well, you left at 5:10 which is before 6:30.

If you were done with what he had you doing, then there was no reason to milk the system and sit around until 6:30 doing nothing.

Now, when you start doing real CC work, you need to stay your entire shift.  You can't leave early unless you are sick and you need to let the CSM know that you need to leave.

Congrats on job and good luck.
