Hello, could anyone tell me of any online resource to better train for the deli? I just started & have had two different people show me two different ways to do things. I want to do a good job & don't want to get busted for not doing things according to company policy. The chicken fryer & rotisserie are freaking me out the most. I have no clue what times stuff should be taken out and how to use the log book right. I have never done it myself & they're talking about me closing by myself soon!! Sure, I did the online training tests which I obviously passed but that was a lot of info to asorb at one time & some of this stuff was not taught to me. I wish there was an online training video portal showing how to do each task required of the deli clerk! I think I could be able to stop stressing if I felt more confident in what I'm actually doing!
Deli is not that tough ... even chicken shop. Ask your department to go through the times it takes to get to min. Cooking temp of 165 degrees. Have to temp it when time is up and if not to temp. Cook it about 15 min longer for rotisserie and a couple for fryer. The job is all food safety for cook times.
Sorry, Just needed help not to be critasized but nevermind. I am a single mom on no assistance & almost zero support who just wants to do a good job so I can keep my job & feed my babies.
