I'll be working in the Deli and my friend who just quit told me that the deli is fairly cold and i get cold easily, should I layer with a longer sleeve shirt?

Well, it depends on what your friend did. Did your friend wear a long sleeve shirt? A jacket? I would wear what your friend wore, the you can quit too!

lol you really know your store and your body better than we do, but i'd say go with a hoodie or jacket so it'll be easier to take off if you get hot, a thermal shirt under your kroger shirt requires a bit more maneuvering
if you think there are extreme temperatures in the deli, go work on the back dock during the summer or winter. temps in excess of 100 degrees are normal in summer and it gets down to well below freezing in the winter. Oh and make sure your kroger shirt is on OUTSIDE of any coat you might wear in case some customer wanders to the dock in search of the restroom while you're sorting a truck. We want them to be able to easily recognize that you work there (because non hired workers break in to sort our trucks ALL THE TIME)
