well now that they've begun writing up department heads when one of their workers get injured, they've opened the door for all kinds of whackiness. One of our young lads was stocking on a bottom shelf near the end of the aisle not long ago when an old lady whipped into the aisle with a motorized cart and hit another customer. Now it wasn't really anybody's fault and the cameras showed that the boy wasn't taking up excess room in the aisle but now our management is so fast to pull the trigger, they've decided that *someone* has to be written up for every incident (similar to how police always cite someone after an accident). They took both the stockboy who was a witness, the customer who was hit, and the old lady upstairs for a meeting and after several hours of discussion with security and management, they came back down and tell us that the customer has been written up for not shopping safely. (The customer who was hit!!!!!). They said she should have been watching around the end of the aisle while she shopped. Aside from being written up, she has also been warned that if it happens again, she'll be suspended.
