Literally feel like I'm being jerked around here. I'm asked if I'd like to do Night Stocking for a position opening up soon, and me just wanting to actually get out of the FE as a bagger obviously say yes. Nothing happens, which is fine.

Time passes and I'm pulled in and asked if I'd prefer to do Grocery or Seafood. Show interest in Seafood and sure enough there's a spot having come up that is just that. So I put in for it, and someone with less seniority than me gets it instead.

Go into office and talk about it, told I was being switched over to a much better fit instead, which I agreed on.

Actually get pulled in with HR this time around after that, told I have to get a health card, having the job was a done deal. So I get a health card and all of that.

Come yesterday though when I come in on my day off to get some things, I'm asked if I'd rather do Fuel Station instead, which I didn't want to do at all. So I decline and say I want what I was originally offered to begin with.

So now my week is cleared for training and I talked with store director, told he thought I was doing fuel station training this week because of something the assistant manager told him, despite me saying that same day I didn't want to do it.

Feels like I'm being set up and then having the rug pulled up from underneath me.

They did it to me too.  I was offered the floral department head job and accepted.  I had helped in floral for 3 years and really wanted to work in that department.  So a few weeks went by and I asked the manager that offered me the job when I was supposed to start and she said "oh, you have to dot your i's and cross your t's" and mumbled something and walked off.  They offered the job to a transfer from another store.  I guess what happened was she offered me the job then found out she had to interview others and post the job.

What baffles me is like, Seafood had more than one position open too. So it's not like I couldn't have put in there, but I was told there was something else for me instead.

Filling seafood is pretty low on their list as long as they can fill the hours with open availability PTs.
