Holiday Pay

I work 12-515 next monday which is memorial day. I have a total of 33.75 hours for the week. I am part time so how does Holiday Pay work for me? I have been there over a year. And whats the difference between "Holiday Pay" and "Legal Holiday"

Depends on your contract.

In our contract, we don't get paid for Memorial day until after 2 years.  Part timers are only given 4 hours.  Full timers get 8 hours.

You will be paid for 33.75 hours at regular pay unless you stay over at the request of management.  Or, the payroll person accidentally gives you the 4 hours for the holiday.

"Holiday Pay" is hours that I get for being the holiday.  I am full time and get 8 hours.

"Legal Holiday" I think are the hours you actually work on that day at regular payrate.  Some contracts give old timers time and a half or doubletime for working that day.

In Cincinnati/Dayton, full time gets 8 hrs regular pay, + time+1/2 for hours worked on the holiday.  If you don't work, you are scheduled 4 days(32 hours), + the 8 hrs for the holiday.
