Lets say someone wants to transfer to another department and works fuel center but keeps being told they cant until there position is filled. 2 months later they're still being told the same thing and are constantly being harassed by other fuel center associates. Management seems not to care just keep things going as is. Is there anything kroger is obligated to do if you formally ask for a transfer out of the fuel center and into a regular department?
That's the type of thing the union is there for. If you've talked to your store manager, utilize one or more of the Union stewards in your store. If it is a legit harassment issue, there are things they can help with. If it is something that has to do with your performance that's a different issue.
Exact same thing happened to me and my steward threstened to file a grievance if they didn't go ahead and transfer me. Sometimes all it takes is letting the union light a little fire under their asses. Good luck!
