I work overnight shift and our store manager just happened to work us for 16 hrs. 

I work in dry groccerie can they do this

Do you mean 16 hours straight or just 16 hours per week?

Straight - enjoy your overtime! It's voluntary after 10 hours.
Per week - that's probably the min under your contract.

16 hrs straight i didn't know that thank you and ive been there for about 5 months now
