Thats actually something I wanted to ask as well, as I've only been here 8 months n our Store Director gave me 03 VAC for the Monday to Friday of this week. But I am curious as to how it works / get paid / etc.

It probably varies by contract and division. In Southwest, an employee gets a week's vacation (NOT 40 paid hours; an average of hours worked over the first year) after one year of being employed. After three years, it's two vacations a year (again, NOT 40 paid hours; it's again based on the average number of hours you have worked). Then, and this is the screwed up part... the third week of vacation doesn't even kick in until the ten year mark. Ridiculous. The third week of vacation should become available after six or seven years and not ten, but whatever.

You guys should check with your ASP or SRS/payroll person to find out when you're eligible for vacation or obtain clarification on stuff that you're unsure of.
