($10.50), to bust my ass the same as my grocery night crew who are all topped out. Is that really fair?

How long have you been there?  How long have they been there?

Yes, it does seem unfair but, it is all about timing.  They hired in on a better contract.

They also started out at a lower wage and did their time to get to the wage they have now.  Contracts were also much better then.  The current contracts stink for the new hires.

To avoid insanity, you have to ignore wages.  I used to be fast but now I may not be as fast due to age.  Go in, do your job.  If you want a better wage, learn everything you can so you can be a department manager.

You're right. They've done the time, so they deserve it. It just irks my nerves this whole stupid contract thing. I've been under the Kroger name since 2014. But I've been stocking groceries at a different store (Walmart) since 2004. You should be paid based off experience. NOT from a stupid ass pay ladder. Oh, you've no experience with stocking groceries?? THEN you should start at the lowest wage and work your way up.  I'm only tempted to stay under Kroger because of the $17+ an hour payout rate. I don't think Walmart stockers get that much do they?

I doubt stockers at walmart get that much.  And, walmart is very demanding from what I have heard.

My part time clerks hired after 2010 will top out at $11/hr and $13 if they become full time.  Anyone hired before 2010 tops out at $16.  Department managers top out at $19.

If you are in California, wages are higher.

Yeah, I'd rather make $7.25 an hour in the south east than $12 an hour in the northwest.
